Here are a few more tips to help you to manage your time effectively at work.
Make sure you set deadlines for your work – if they have not been set to begin with. This gives you something to aim for and allows you to make the work time-specific.
If you make and receive many telephone calls during your work day, it is worth writing the main points down straight after the call. Then, if the phone starts to ring again, you don’t forget the main actions that resulted from the call.
You can simplify major projects by breaking them down into manageable sections. Once you have sorted the tasks in order you can develop a timeline to complete each section of work.

Office conditions are very important to staff happiness and production levels. A poor environment means poor levels of work both volumes and quality. For example, if your chairs are uncomfortable then staff will have to stand up and stretch their backs, less time at the computer.
Too hot and your staff will be going to the water fountain a lot, then in turn going to the toilet, that’s if they are not asleep due to the heat.
Too cold and people won’t be able to type as their fingers will be numb. It’s all about getting the conditions correct. Once they are the right job will be done.

In the UK there is a scheme called the ride to work. It promotes the use of people cycling to work rather than getting the car or using public transport. It means that you pay for your bike over a period of time and have a VAT reduction making the bike cheaper.
It’s a great way of getting fit and staff that come to work on a bike will be more alert and ready to work rather than the staff that have just got out of bed into a warm car and driven to work.
It helps if there are changing facilities at the work place and even a shower.
